Harrods workers, represented by United Voices of the World, voted in favor of an industrial action planned to start on December 19, 2024, protesting the store's refusal to pay a £500 Christmas bonus and the imposition of extended work hours on part-time cleaners, all while the company disbursed large bonuses to its owners and executives.

Dozens of Harrods migrant cleaners, primarily from Black, Asian, and African communities, are preparing to strike over a holiday policy that limits them to two weeks of leave during peak periods. The United Voices of the World union has criticized the policy as racially discriminatory, arguing that it restricts workers' ability to visit family abroad and undermines their welfare. Despite union complaints, Harrods maintains that the policy merely clarifies existing guidelines.
