Dentsu Group has publicly outlined its robust commitment to internationally recognized human rights, emphasizing non-discrimination, equal treatment, and comprehensive internal oversight. The policy mandates adherence to UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights with senior management oversight and training initiatives to ensure that human rights are embedded in all aspects of their operations.

Dentsu Group announced a major reorganization at Dentsu International, eliminating 12.5% of its workforce – approximately 6,000 jobs – as part of a global restructuring initiative. The restructuring, detailed in a filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange, aims to accelerate transformation across regions, but has significant adverse implications for worker rights and job security.

In its 2019 integrated report, Dentsu Aegis Network released a declaration addressing slave labor, human trafficking, and forced labor. The declaration, aligned with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, outlines measures to protect employee rights through anti-harassment policies, human rights education, internal reporting mechanisms, and also commits to identifying and mitigating risks in its supply chain.
