KFRI, in collaboration with the Forest Department and the Scheduled Tribe Development department, has partnered on the Gothrabheri programme to integrate indigenous tribal knowledge in addressing human-wildlife conflicts and ecosystem balance in the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve.

KFRI's senior principal scientist, T V Sajeev, endorsed the Kerala Forest Amendment Bill, stating that the proposed amendments are essential for protecting forests and rivers against pollution from mining and resort activities.
