The American Association of Pro-Life OB-GYNs (AAPLOG) was cited by ProPublica as one of several pro-life groups asserting that the newly passed Texas Senate bill clarifying abortion ban exceptions would allow doctors to intervene in life-threatening cases such as PPROM. This public stance supports restrictive abortion policies that can undermine reproductive rights and may contribute to authoritarian approaches to healthcare decision-making.

During the week of the March for Life, AAPLOG & AAPLOG Action leaders met with 10 Congressional offices in Washington DC to discuss federal policy aimed at protecting the interests of medical professionals and promoting policies aligned with their pro-life agenda.

On February 6, 2025, AAPLOG published a digest summarizing recent pro-life wins including pardons for pro-life activists, the reinstatement of the Mexico City Policy, and legislative measures supporting born alive survivors. The organization’s advocacy reflects strong alignment with the Trump administration’s policies, which are seen as advancing an authoritarian agenda from an anti‐fascist perspective.

In response to ACOG's misleading advertisement campaign on abortion laws, AAPLOG published an open letter and launched an online course aimed at clarifying state pro-life laws and providing guidance to physicians. This initiative reinforces accurate medical practice guidelines and accountability in reproductive health care.

On September 16, 2024, AAPLOG leaders, including CEO Dr. Christina Francis and other board members, met with staff from several Republican congressional offices (such as those of Senator Rubio, Senator Capito, and Speaker Mike Johnson) to introduce AAPLOG Action, their new 501(c)4 advocacy arm. The meeting focused on promoting policies aimed at preserving their pro-life agenda.

On September 18, AAPLOG Board Members met with nine Congressional offices to discuss protecting the conscience rights of medical professionals and improving reporting on induced abortion, marking a targeted effort to influence pro-life policy.

AAPLOG has been actively involved in filing lawsuits aimed at overturning FDA approvals of abortion medication and is closely linked with organizations designated as hate groups. These actions, bolstered by the dissemination of pseudoscientific research to support anti-abortion measures, contribute to a coordinated political effort to roll back reproductive freedoms.

After hosting a booth for 15 years to share their pro-life message, AAPLOG was abruptly barred from the American College of OB-GYNs annual conference in Maryland. The cancellation came with only a vague explanation centered on a disagreement over the group’s stance on abortion, reflecting a politicized environment in which dissenting ideological views are sidelined.
